​The 29th ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (AEGC) Meeting and related meetings, which were chaired by Brunei Darussalam, concluded on Thursday 20 October 2022. The Meeting deliberated on the updates and preparation of the AEGC Key deliverables for the years 2022 and 2023, respectively, as well as updates on the Competition Policy and Law development in each of the ASEAN Member States’ jurisdiction.

The AEGC, which is an ASEAN sectoral body for competition, is established as a forum for discussing and coordinating competition policies, towards promoting a healthy competitive environment in the ASEAN region. It holds its meeting twice a year and is chaired in a rotational manner by the ASEAN Member States.
