The Competition Commission of Brunei Darussalam (CCBD) recently hosted a knowledge-sharing session facilitated by the International Trade Centre (ITC), as part of its ongoing efforts to stengthen institutional capacity in competition law and enforcement.

The session was delivered by Ms Ravini Gunasekera of the International Trade Centre (ITC), with virtual contributions from Mr Robert Anderson, Professor William Kovacic, Professor Ioannis Kokkoris, and Ms Esther van de Kamp of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets. The discussion provided comparative perspectives on international practices in the application of competition principles, including analytical and procedural considerations observed across jurisdictions.

The session was attended by the Chairman and Members of the CCBD, as well as officers from its Executive Secretariat, and the Chairman and Members of the Competition Appeal Tribunal in their institutional capacities.

CCBD remains committed to continuous learning and engagement with international partners to enhance the effectiveness and integrity of Brunei Darussalam’s competition framework.
